Sue Gehling is a nurse practitioner from Carroll, Iowa. She maintains dual certifications in Psychiatry and in Family Medicine. She has worked for many years caring for children with special healthcare needs, especially those with behavioral and mental health issues. Her passion is in the area of providing child psychiatry services in rural communities. She supports a multidisciplinary approach to caring for children with mental health struggles, and regularly collaborates with schools and AEAs on behalf of her patients. She is currently working to integrate children’s mental health services into nontraditional places using innovative telehealth technology. She is a member of the National School-Based Health Alliance.
